Principal Welcome

Welcome to Roosevelt Elementary, home of the Raccoons! We are a neighborhood school located in West Mankato serving about 350 students. Roosevelt Elementary is a welcoming, supportive and inclusive community where our amazing staff are dedicated to meeting the unique individual needs of every student. I look forward to partnering with you to ensure that your student(s) have a high quality educational experience and access to the opportunities and resources necessary to support their academic and social-emotional growth.

This year marks the beginning of my 21st year in education and my tenth year serving Mankato Area Public Schools. My first nine years were spent teaching first and second grade and sixth grade reading interventions. I then spent two years in an administrative support role and as an instructional coach. In 2013, I joined Mankato Area Public Schools as the principal at Rosa Parks Elementary where I served for seven years. For the past two years I have been the principal at Bridges. I am committed to ALL students in the Mankato school district, and I am thrilled to continue serving MAPS students, families and staff at Roosevelt.
